Tuition Fee Payment, Refund and Postponement Policies

Applicants who successfully complete the interview stage of the application process will be offered a place in one of the CELTA courses listed above. 

Fee Payment

Applicants accepted to the course must reserve their place by paying fees according to the deadline noted on their acceptance letter. The deadline is 4 weeks prior to the course start date.  For applicants who are offered a place on a course within 4 weeks of the course start date, a payment deadline within the week of the interview will be set.  If applicants fail to pay their fees in full by the indicated deadline, their place will be offered to another qualifying applicant. 

Refunds - Withdrawal Prior to Course Start Date

  1. If written notice of withdrawal is given 21 days or more prior to the start of the course, all fees will be returned to the applicant.
  2. If written notice of withdrawal is given 20 days to 1 day prior to the start of the course, 80% of fees will be returned to the applicant. 

 

Refunds - Withdrawal After Course Start Date

  1. If written notice of withdrawal is given within the first 2 days of the course, 70% of fees will be returned to the applicant.
  2. If written notice of withdrawal is given within the first 6 days of the course, 50% of fees will be returned to the applicant.
  3. If written notice of withdrawal is given after the first 6 days of the course, no fees will be returned to the applicant.

 

Postponement to a Later Course Date

  1. Postponement to a later course date is only permitted prior to the start of the course.
  2. If written notice of postponement is given 21 days or more prior to the start of the course, the applicant may postpone to a later course without payment of a postponement fee.
  3. If written notice of postponement is given 20 days to 1 day prior to the start of the course, the applicant will pay a postponement fee.  The postponement fee will be equal to 20% of the tuition fees for the course plus any difference in fees between the original course and the course to which the applicant postpones.
