Private Bath Homestay and Homestay Internet Service are both available for an additional fee.

The homestay program at LSC is known for its caring hosts who strive to make students feel at home. Our homestays may consist of a young family, a family whose children have grown, a single working woman or a retired couple. Sometimes a family is headed by one parent. Whatever the profile, homestay hosts are warm and sociable with a genuine interest in people. They particularly enjoy the experience of sharing a part of their lives with others.

In this hectic society, everyone's time is limited. Since hosts are busy at times with professional and social commitments, students are expected to prepare their own breakfast and do their own laundry. It is a priority for the homestays to ensure that their students are as comfortable as possible. Students feel a part of the home as hosts involve them in conversation and include them in household activities.

Please feel free to send us all your preferences. While we can only guarantee non-smoking and pets, we will do our best to meet all other requests. Smoking is generally restricted to outside the home. Please be advised that there is no guarantee to internet access in homestay unless you have pre-paid the supplement in advance and we have confirmed the service.

Students arriving or departing outside of Saturday must pay extra night charges. Lunch and snacks are not included in the homestay service; students usually spend about $10 Canadian per day, depending on their tastes. Internet and Private bath are not guaranteed unless purchased at an extra cost.
